There’s more to running payroll than just preparing pay slips. Here’s a list of the more important tasks:

Calculate pay as per award or agreement
Calculate leave balances (print on pay slips)
Calculate super and tax
Prepare and distribute detailed pdf or printed pay slips
Set up any new employees. Collect TFN Declaration forms and lodge with the ATO
Prepare an EFT file for transfer/upload to your bank
Pay superannuation contributions to the various funds as required
Submit superannuation returns to funds (setting up new super fund members and reporting details about contributions)
Prepare and distribute end of year PAYG Payment Summaries

New national minimum wage from 1 July 2011

Fair Work Australia has set a new national minimum wage for pay periods that commence on or after 1 July 2011. The new national minimum wage is $589.30 per week or $15.51 per hour, 38 hours per week. Casuals get a 22% loading.

After you approve the payroll we handle the rest including distributing payslips, paying superannuation funds and remitting other deductions.
